Run in 2027
International Tour Operators
Non-full-time residents of the United States can book their 2027 marathon package with guaranteed entry through an Official International Tour Operator. Marathon packages may include hotel and/or flight to New York City. Official International Tour Operators will be announced in early 2027.
2027 TCS New York City Marathon Drawing
Runners who do not have guaranteed entry to the 2027 TCS New York City Marathon will have the opportunity to enter the non-guaranteed entry drawing during the application period. Dates to be announced.
NYRR Member-Only Second-Chance Drawing for the 2027 TCS New York City Marathon
Current members of New York Road Runners who meet the eligibility criteria and apply to the non-guaranteed general entry drawing will automatically be entered into the NYRR Member-Only Second-Chance Drawing (dates to be announced). Members selected in the second-chance drawing will be automatically charged the full registration fee. Eligibility: To be eligible, your NYRR membership must be active the day before the drawing application opens and remain active through the TCS New York City Marathon drawing day. All NYRR members who meet these requirements will automatically be included in the Member-Only Second Chance Drawing.
9+1 Program (Guaranteed Entry)
NYRR members who, in 2026, run nine qualifying NYRR races and volunteer at one qualifying event are eligible to claim guaranteed, non-complimentary entry to the 2027 TCS New York City Marathon during the guaranteed entry claim period (dates to be announced). To be considered a member, you must have an active membership by December 31, 2026.
5K and 10K Philanthropic Memberships
NYRR Philanthropic Members at the 5K and 10K level receive guaranteed entry to the 2027 TCS New York City Marathon, VIP runner hospitality, and guaranteed entry to all NYRR events for a year beginning from the day of sign-up, including the next United Airlines NYC Half and the RBC Brooklyn Half. These benefits are offered in recognition of our Philanthropic Members' generous support of NYRR's vision to build healthier lives and stronger communities through the transformative power of running. NYRR Team for Kids
Fundraisers get guaranteed entry, expert coaching and a virtual training platform, a TFK singlet, and the opportunity to help keep kids and communities healthy and fit. Runners in the TFK Premium Experience fundraising tier and higher also receive VIP race day perks. Registration date to be announced.
NYRR Team for Climate
By joining NYRR Team for Climate, you are pledging to help reduce the carbon footprint of the 2027 TCS New York City Marathon and to support NYRR on its journey toward Net Zero by 2040. Applications to join the program will launch on date to be announced.
Virtual Guaranteed Entry
Runners who are selected for and complete the 2026 Virtual TCS New York City Marathon - Guaranteed Entry tier will be shipped a Virtual TCS New York City Marathon finisher medal and will earn guaranteed, non-complimentary entry to the 2027 TCS New York City Marathon (claimed during the guaranteed entry claim period dates to be announced).
Time-Qualifying Standards
Runners who meet time standards in 2026 at specific NYRR races are eligible for guaranteed, non-complimentary entry to the 2027 TCS New York City Marathon. Runners who qualify at an eligible NYRR race can claim their guaranteed, non-complimentary entry during the claim period (dates to be announced). NYRR offers a limited number of entries to athletes who meet the time qualifying standards at a certified full marathon race that is not held by NYRR. All athletes who meet the time qualifying standards are invited to apply, however submission of a qualifying time does not guarantee entry. Time-qualifying runners can apply for guaranteed, non-complimentary entry during the Non-NYRR TQ application period (dates to be announced).
Completed 15+
Runners who finish their 15th New York City Marathon are eligible for guaranteed, non-complimentary entry in future years. These runners can claim their guaranteed, non-complimentary entry during the claim period (dates to be announced).
Cancellation in 2026
Entrants who canceled their entry to the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon according to the cancellation guidelines and meet the guaranteed entry eligibility criteria are eligible to claim guaranteed non-complimentary entry to the 2027 race during the guaranteed entry claim period (dates to be announced).
