2024 TCS New York City Marathon Monday

On Monday, November 4, marathoners returned to the finish line area to celebrate their accomplishment, jumpstart recovery, get their medals engraved, and relive the memories.

2024 TCS New York City Marathon Is Largest Ever

The 2024 TCS New York City Marathon saw more than 55,000 runners journey through the five boroughs of NYC, making it the largest marathon of all time. They were cheered on by over 2 million spectators and supported by 10,000 volunteers on an ideal running day. This year’s champions are Daniel Romanchuk (1:36:31) and Susannah Scaroni (1:48:05), both of the United States, in the wheelchair divisions, and Abdi Nageeye of the Netherlands (2:07:39) and Sheila Chepkirui of Kenya (2:24:35) in the open divisions.

2024 Victory Lap The Official After-Party of the TCS New York City Marathon

The celebration continued at Terminal 5 as runners, friends, and family brought the energy to the inaugural Victory Lap: The Official After-Party of the TCS New York City Marathon! DJ Prince Hakim set the vibe while guests enjoyed photo activations with their well-earned medals, special giveaways, appearances by the open division and wheelchair division winners, and plenty of dancing. You won’t want to miss this next year!

The 2024 TCS New York City Marathon brought together more than 55,000 runners for a journey of 26.2 miles through the five boroughs of NYC, with countless spectators cheering them from the sidewalks and fans supporting them from around the world.

2024 TCS New York City Marathon Professional Fields

The 2024 edition saw Abdi Nageeye (2:07:39) become the first athlete from the Netherlands to win the TCS New York City Marathon and Sheila Chepkirui (2:24:35) capture her first-ever Abbott World Marathon Majors title while Americans Susannah Scaroni (1:48:05) and Daniel Romanchuk (1:36:31) swept the men’s and women’s wheelchair division for the first time in event history.

Team for Kids (TFK) runners donned the signature green singlet along the course as they run 26.2 miles to raise funds for NYRR youth and community programs.

Charities at the 2024 TCS New York City Marathon

Charity runners on the course Sunday raise money for various causes through New York Road Runner's Official Charity Partner Program of the TCS New York City Marathon. This year, there are 570 official charity partners, the largest group yet.

In near-perfect racing conditions, two course records were broken. This year’s champions are Marcel Hug (1:25:29) and Catherine Debrunner (1:39:32, a course record), both of Switzerland, in the wheelchair divisions, and Tamirat Tola of Ethiopia (2:04:58, a course record), and Hellen Obiri of Kenya (2:27:23) in the open divisions.
