Citizens Queens 10K Continues NYRR's Impact in Queens

The Citizens Queens 10K takes place in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the borough’s largest park, with a course giving runners views of the Unisphere, Citi Field, and the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The race is the third event in the 2026 NYRR Five-Borough Series, and this is the third year Citizens, the Official Bank of NYRR, is the title sponsor.

Gordon Bakoulis: "I Feel Like I've Always Been a Runner"

With the 54th running of the largest-ever Mastercard New York Mini 10K last weekend and the 54th anniversary of Title IX on June 23, we are highlighting a local NYC legendary figure in women's running—Gordon Bakoulis. Gordon qualified for the Olympic marathon trials in 1988, 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004 and was a finalist in the 1992 U.S. Olympic 10,000m trials. She's also the editorial director for New York Road Runners and has worked at NYRR for over 25 years.

Relive a Historic Day at the 2026 Mastercard New York Mini 10K

History was made once again at the Mastercard New York Mini 10K, as more than 10,000 women finished the 2026 edition for the first time in the event’s 54-year history. What began in 1972 as the world’s original women-only road race with just 72 finishers has grown into one of the sport’s most iconic celebrations of women’s running— bringing together elite athletes, first-time runners, longtime “Crazylegs”—women who have 15+ finishes, and the next generation of women runners, including alumnae of NYRR Run for the Future.
