Run for the Future Summer Practice Photo Gallery

NYRR Run for the Future participants took on their Practice 5K, an exciting milestone as they prepare for their first official 5K race at the Percy Sutton Harlem 5K on August 8. This event was designed to help participants build confidence and experience what race day feels like. Special thanks to our incredible race buddies—volunteers from local run clubs and the community who ran alongside participants, offering encouragement every step of the way. We were also honored to welcome Emmy Award-winning sports anchor and reporter Sam Ryan, NYRR Board Chair Nnenna Lynch, and former Deputy Manhattan Borough President and granddaughter of Percy Sutton, Keisha Sutton-James, whose support and enthusiasm inspired our young runners as they crossed this first finish line.
