Nearly 2,300 volunteers brought the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half to life all week long, from welcoming runners at the Expo to supporting every mile on the adult course, the Rising NYRR Times Square Kids Run, and providing expert care as part of our medical team. Thank you to our incredible volunteers for creating an unforgettable experience for more than 30,000 runners and making race week and race day possible.
Our Volunteer Hall of Fame induction ceremony on April 26 honored the 2023 NYRR Volunteer Hall of Fame inductees. These individuals have significant volunteer service. This month, we're spotlighting three volunteers who lend their support to runners and participants in many ways. Whether as a pacer at the TCS New York City Marathon, a medical volunteer at the United Airlines NYC Half, or volunteering at an NYRR Open Run session, NYRR volunteers show up to offer a helping hand.
