In April 2021, NYRR launched the NYRR Volunteer Hall of Fame, welcoming its inaugural class of extraordinary volunteers. Each April, during Volunteer Appreciation Month, NYRR identifies, nominates, and inducts our standout volunteers. These individuals embody the spirit of service and have demonstrated leadership, commitment, and passion for the organization’s mission, to help and inspire people through running.
NYRR Volunteer Hall of Fame Award Criteria
Nominees must have demonstrated a long-standing record of at least 20 years of volunteer service. In addition, all have demonstrated leadership, commitment, and dedication to volunteerism at NYRR
Nominee must have provided consistent and distinguished support to NYRR over the course of service and have made significant contributions to the running community.
The public is invited to nominate candidates for the 2025 NYRR Volunteer Hall of Fame Class and can submit nominations now through December 31, 2024. Nominations will be reviewed and voted on by the NYRR Hall of Fame Selection Committee. Inductees will be announced at the ceremony on April 30, 2025.
