2026 NYRR Hall of Fame Nomination Form

The NYRR Hall of Fame honors the legendary figures of our sport, who through their triumphs and contributions have made NYRR and the TCS New York City Marathon what they are today.

You are invited to nominate candidates for the next inductees into the NYRR Hall of Fame, and you can submit your nomination for the Class of 2026 any time between May 20 and June 2.

Nominations will be reviewed and voted on by the NYRR Hall of Fame Selection Committee. Inductees will be announced in the fall leading up to the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon.

In order to be eligible for induction into the NYRR Hall of Fame, candidates must be:

• A professional athlete, legendary runner, or race director who has either already retired or will be retiring the year of their induction.
• An individual who has made a profound impact on the organization (NYRR) and is a “game changer” in the industry.

Nominees are considered for induction based on achievements over their entire career, including the New York City Marathon and other NYRR races and events.

Consideration is also given to a nominee’s character, conduct, and contributions to the sport off the roads, as well as their ties to NYRR’s mission and values.
