Patrick Dever
Patrick Dever made his United Airlines NYC Half debut last year with an impressive fourth- place finish in 1:00:19. He returned to the city’s streets just a few months later, finishing fourth in the TCS New York City Marathon—his marathon debut—just one second short of making the podium. His 2:08:58 performance ranks him 12th on the all-time U.K. marathon list.
He is the fourth- fastest British man in history, running 1:00:11 at the 2025 Houston Half Marathon.
Dever represented Great Britain in the 5000 meters at the 2024 Paris Olympics and the 10,000 meters at the 2022 World Athletics Championships. He has won two national titles, including in the 10,000 meters at the 2024 Night of the 10,000m PBs and in the 5,000 meters at the 2021 British Championships.
At the University of Tulsa, Dever had a successful collegiate career, achieving NCAA All-American status twice. In 2021 he won the 10,000 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 27:41:87, a meet record.
Growing up in Lancashire, England, Dever idolized compatriot, four-time Olympic gold medalist, and 2011 NYC Half champion Sir Mo Farah.
