Lindsay Flanagan has already had a stellar year that includes winning and setting the course record at the Gold Coast Marathon and finishing as the top American woman at the United Airlines NYC Half. She will now make her TCS New York City Marathon debut; previously she has finished in the top 10 at both the Boston and Chicago Marathons. She also owns a silver medal from the 2015 Pan American Games Marathon.

Flanagan grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, where she was honored as the 2008 Gatorade Cross Country Athlete of the Year for Illinois. She went on to be an All-American at the University of Washington, graduating with a degree in public health and anthropology. Her sister, Kaylee, is a competitive distance runner who finished first in the mixed-gender start at the 2022 Boston Marathon.
