Joel Reichow broke out in 2025 with a surprise finish as the top American in the TCS New York City Marathon with a personal best time of 2:09:56, good enough for sixth overall. The Minnesota native has done exceptionally well in his home state, taking the crown at the 2025 Grandma’s Marathon in a time of 2:11:58—the first Minnesotan man to win in over a decade. He also won the 2023 Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon in a personal best of 1:02:30. In his first race since the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon, he won the Naples (FL) Half Marathon in 1:03:28.
