Jessica McClain
Jessica McClain will be running her first marathon since stunning the field at the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials in February in Orlando, where she finished fourth and missed out on an Olympic spot by only 15 seconds as an unsponsored athlete. Earlier this summer, she finished fourth in the 10,000 meters at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials.
The 2022 Mesa Marathon was McClain’s first go at the 26.2-mile distance, followed by an appearance at the 2023 Grandma’s Marathon. Her personal best of 2:25:46 then came in Orlando.
Prior to that, she was a seven-time NCAA Division I All-American at Stanford University, specializing in the 5,000 meters. She also finished as the runner-up at the 2019 Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K, which also doubled as the USATF 5K Championships.
Off the roads, McClain balances a full-time job as the executive director of the Love Up Foundation and works as a marketing consultant.
