Grant Fisher
Grant Fisher will make his highly-anticipated half marathon and road racing debut at the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half. Fisher is a two-time Olympic bronze medalist, three-time U.S. national champion, world record holder, and one of the United States’ most dominant and versatile distance athletes.
Fisher’s professional career has had no shortage of other-worldly feats including two world records set within eight days of each other in 2025—a 7:22.91 performance in the indoor 3,000 meters and a 12:44.09 in the indoor 5,000 meters. Last year he became the second man in history—and first American—to achieve a particular distance running trifecta, running a sub-3:50 mile, sub-13:00 5,000 meters, and sub-27:00 10,000 meters. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, he had a historic performance, winning double bronze in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters as the first American man to medal in both events at the same Olympics.
Fisher grew up as a soccer player, playing from age 4 through high school, where he was a member of the Michigan Wolves, an elite level club team. He didn’t start running until the seventh grade, and as a freshman was varsity for both the soccer and cross-country teams. Late last year, he proposed to his now-fiancée, Sarah, who he met while they were both part of Stanford’s track & field team.
