Benard Ngeno finished as the runner-up at the Houston Half Marathon last January. Last year, he won the Boulder Boulder 10K in 28:29, the eighth-fastest mark in the history of the race. He was also victorious at the San Diego Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon, where he led the entire race from Balboa Park to downtown.
